Hallmarking Information.

In the UK, hallmarking is a legal requirement for precious metals, including gold, silver, palladium, and platinum, when they exceed a specific weight threshold. This independent verification ensures the authenticity and quality of the metal used in fine jewellery. If you’d like to learn more about hallmarking, you can find detailed information here or refer to the dealer’s notice below.

Jules B Jewellery is proudly registered with The London Assay Office. By law, any silver jewellery weighing over 7.78 grams must be submitted for testing (assaying) and stamped with an official hallmark. Pieces below this weight are not legally required to be hallmarked but may still be marked at the maker’s discretion. Some of my designs already feature my registered hallmark, which will be clearly stated in the product description.

With Gold this weight threshold is 1 gram.

If you would like your piece of Jules B Jewellery to be hallmarked, please contact me before placing your order. I’ll be happy to discuss the process, any additional costs, and expected lead times.
